Frequently Asked Questions
What are the differences between an ad agency and a design firm?
An advertising agency can handle radio and television commercials and promotional products among other things. We are a design studio that creates printer-ready artwork for printed materials. Having spent the majority of our career at advertising agencies, we an say without hesitation that you WILL overpay for these services at most ad agencies due to overhead. Our graphic designers and artists can carefully craft just the right “look” for your printed piece and do it much less than most agencies.
We also are very proficient at creating custom web sites, with a focus on affordable e-commerce development. Whether you need a 7-10 page informational site, or a complex, custom e-commerce site, we can handle it all. We have a proven team of web designers, content writers, SEO specialists and programmers that have successfully crafted custom web design solutions for a wide variety of clients.
Do You Accept Credit Cards and Do You Have Payment Plans?
Yes and absolutely! We do accept any valid credit or debit card. Normal payment terms are one-third deposit, one-third after the first round of revisions are complete and the balance on completion before the site is made “live” to the Internet. However we also have payment plans available that we can customize especially for you! Put down a deposit and spread the balance over 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. For payment plans, we must have a valid credit or debit card on file. Payments will automatically be deducted the first day of every month.
How much does a website cost and how long will it take?
The cost of a website depends on how simple or complex the site is as well as what add-ons, customizations and enhancements are needed. A simple 5-page, informational-only site with no “bells-and-whistles” for example would cost much less compared to 25 or 50 page website with custom forms, a member’s only area, the ability to accept payment and so forth. Once we receive enough information from you, we’ll be able to accurately come up with a proposal that we are sure will meet your needs.
In regards to how long it will take, that again depends on the site and how quickly content is provided and changes are approved. It is different for every site. A good website is something you don’t want to rush, but its important to make sure it’s done right the first time, so there are no surprises in the future.
Do you offer printing services?
Absolutely! If we can design it, we can print it. Pro Image One, LLC is a printing broker, which means we have established relationships with a variety of wholesale commercial printers. We know by experience what printer will do the best job for any given project. We may send a large catalog project to Printer A, while we know Printer B does best with flyers and small brochures. We always negotiate the best cost for our clients.
Do you use pre-designed web templates?
Custom designed websites are our speciality and is the reason for our success. For a custom design, we first research thoroughly our clients’ products and services and identify their competitors. An Internet marketing specialist and a web designer works together to craft a design that will appeal to their potential customers, showcase their strengths as well as highlight their competitors weaknesses. Once that design is first “penciled out” a Photoshop mockup is created and approved by the client. From that a custom template is created, uploaded to the Internet and copy and photos are put into place. As you can see, a lot of research, personnel and expertise are involved in every custom design. A growing business more concerned with results would chose a custom design.
For start-ups or small “mom-and-pop” business, we use web templates ONLY if the client’s budget calls for it. We can bypass the marketing research and design drafts and help the client chose an appropriate pre-design template that accurately reflects their business. Customizations can be added to make the design “unique” specifically for each client. Once the template is selected, it is uploaded it to the Internet and content is applied. The process involves less time, less personnel and as a result, comes at a much lower cost. If budget is an issue, a pre-designed template “might” be the best option.
Do you use contractors for your projects and are they located overseas?
So glad you asked! Some of our competition like to brag that they don’t use any outside contractors. Our entire business model is built on using ONLY United States-based contractors. Here’s why we chose to go that route. A typical design firm may employ 10-15 employees. Two or three employees are in management. You may have an accountant and two or three account representatives. Then you have a sales staff of 2, 3 or 4 people. Then you may have one or two designers and one or two good programmers. Take the expenses associated with all of the above along with the cost of an uptown office and expenses and guess who is helping pay for all of that?
Now let’s look at the full-time designers and programmers. They may be very good at their particular interest, but they can’t be an expert on ALL technologies or interests. They usually have one or two specialities they focus on. What if your project calls for something different? They will try to form your project into a mold of what they do, when another method (an expertise they don’t have) would have generate much better results. And face it. How many employees are just simply trying to “make eight” and get through the day? How much time are you paying for that is spent on a designer spending an hour or more on social media?
At Pro Image One, LLC we only use full-time, self-employed professionals that we have carefully chosen based on their experience, portfolio and recommendations. Self-employed individuals bring a much different attitude to the table. They are motivated to make their own business a success and that success depends on you and I. Self-employed individuals don’t “goof off” or play games on company time. They are dedicated to doing what it takes to make sure your project is a raging success because it reflects on them personally as well as their business. In addition, we have full-time professionals that represent every technology under the sun. So whatever your project calls for, we have the personnel and expertise to get it done.
Pro Image One, LLC does not employ overseas contractors. All of our contractors are based permanently in the United States.
